QM8790 is manufactured with Quantum InfiniBand switch equipment and provides up to 40 200Gb/s ports, each with full bidirectional bandwidth. These stand-alone switches are ideal for leaf connections at the top of the rack or for building small to very large clusters. QM8790 is the world's most intelligent network switch, which aims to realize in-network computing through the joint design of scalable hierarchical aggregation and reduction protocol (SHARP) technology. The joint design architecture enables the use of all active data center equipment to use the embedded hardware to accelerate the communication framework, thereby achieving an order of magnitude improvement in application performance.
